Edison Paul

edison-paulEdison Paul, ChairmanMr. Paul's philanthropic endeavors vary greatly, especially within the educational sector, but his main focus is to help in the reconstruction of his home land, Haiti. He is responsible for all facets of the organization including supervisory relationships with local organizations. He implements advocacy and civic participation during campaigns on key issues, and establishes alliances to integrate non-members into FOH2010 campaigns, with measurable accountability standards.fHis career as an engineer serves as a great asset for his country. After the earthquake, Mr. Paul dedicated a good amount of time working with local builders teaching them the mechanics of anti-seismic construction. He helped restored many prominent landmarks in Haiti. Edison is a New York State Registered Professional Engineer with 24 years of experience in large project management.

His expertise includes: Forensic Analysis, Structural Design for Earthquake Resistant Commercial & Residential Buildings, with extensive knowledge of the Uniform Building Code and Zoning Requirements; Development of Business Requirements Statement of Work and Business Process Re-engineering, Roadway & Bridge Design; Resident Engineering Administration, Bridge Inspection and Rating, Quality Assurance, and Information System Development. He is also an active volunteer and board member of several non-profit organizations including Haitian Association of Engineers (HAES). Mr. Paul is best known for his distinguished career in the private and public sectors.

Mr. Paul is a New York State P.E. He holds a MS in Structural Engineering, a BS in Civil Engineering, and a MS in Executive Management of Technology.


 Magalie Théodore

magalie-theodoreMagalie leads the organization's efforts in integrated and innovative delivery. She finds creative ways to ensure solutions and products get into the hands of people in the United States, Haiti, and Dominican Republic who need them most.

She is responsible for managing all of FOH2010's daily operation, providing guidance and developing resourceful answers to support the achievement of the organization's programmatic objectives.

Prior to joining FOH2010 in 2002, Magalie was a Partner and member of Haiti Economic Development (HECODEV), a prominent development firm where her practice focused on investments and marketing.

She currently serves on the board of NAPSA. She also served as Board Chair of Association des Paysans De Ranquitte. Magalie is founder and Board Chair of the French American School of Haiti. She began her career in the financial services industry in 1990, first specializing in Equity Derivatives. Magalie currently works for one of the top financial institutions in New York City as a Trader.

Ms. Theodore received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from University of Miami; an Associate in Applied Science degree in Liberal Arts from Nassau Community College, and a Specialty Certificate in Portfolio Management from New York University.


Edens Desbas

As Secretary General of the organization, Mr. Desbas supports and strengthens democratic institutions in Haiti through civic participation, openness and accountability in government. Edens conducts Executive Leadership Training Work to increase youth activism and engagement within the State Youth & College divisions. He is notoriously known as a strong advocate in the fight of the Diasporas rights.

Mr. Desbas is regularly invited to make presentations and to speak at schools, colleges, and various political functions. He oversees internal and external communication for FOH2010, partnering with the advocacy and policy teams in Global Development, Global Health and United States programs to complement and advance FOH2010's strategies and efforts. Mr. Desbas is also an active leader in the non-profit community, serving as a board member for Artist Village and CHE.

Edens has a Bachelor  degree in Journalism and Social Communication from the State University of Haiti (Faculte des Sciences Humaines).


Fritz Monfleury

Fritz Monfleury overseas Finance and Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Strategic Planning, Impact Planning and Improvement and several special initiatives.

Mr. Monfleury, currently works as Senior President of Mainline Partners Inc. His areas of expertise include Corporate Controllership and Governance, Accounting Strategic Planning, Performance Measurement, and Cost Management, particularly in the small business industries. Fritz has also served on the boards of several non-profit organizations in the New York area.

 Mr. Monfleury holds a Master of Business Administration degree.

 

 


Patrick L. Morisseau

Patrick approves organization strategies, review results, advocate for the organization's issues, and help set the overall direction of the organization. Mr. Morisseau also oversees Finance and Accounting, and Financial Planning. He meets with local, national, and international grantees and partners to further FOH2010's goal of improving equity in the United States. He also uses many public appearances, including speeches, interviews, and articles, to focus attention on these issues.

 One of the founding members of FOH2010, Patrick distinguishes himself in the business sector as a Network Administrator. He has worked for many financial institutions in the New York area.

Mr. Morisseau received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from both Hofstra University, NY USA and the State University of Haiti (Faculté de Droit et des Sciences Economiques), and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences (Sciences Sociales)  from the State University of Haiti (Ecole Normale Supérieure). He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

 


Bernadette M. Gerard

Bernadette is responsible for overseeing field operations for FOH2010 multi-state regions. Ms. Gerard provides support for, and direction to, FOH2010 state conferences, branches, and youth & college divisions. She provides trainings, leadership development, and advocacy for regional units within the larger FOH2010 family, while administering to region-wide member needs. Bernadette mobilizes FOH2010 members and allies within the area to engage in grassroots and legislative organizing and civic participation on targeted campaigns. She provides assistance in Membership Division.

Ms. Gerard holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Strayer University in Washington, D.C. Her professional career ranges from education to law in both the public and private sectors. She is served as the president of Voice of Haitian-Americans (VOHA), and is a Co-Founder of PicardyMayo Foundation. Bernadette's expertise also includes event planning and fundraising for many non-profit organizations.


Jean-Michel Voltaire

Jean-michel-voltaireJean-Michel Voltaire, General Counsel, is responsible for managing all of FOH2010 legal needs, providing guidance and developing creative solutions to support the achievement of the organization's programmatic objectives.
He is the founder of Réunion Sportif du Sud to give back to his native land. Since 2010, Jean-Michel has organized an annual youth soccer tournament and leadership development seminars for the children and young adults affected by the earthquake.
Jean-Michel Voltaire holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from New York Law School. In 2003, he joined the U.S. Department of Justice, as a Trial Attorney, through the Attorney General's Honors Program. Mr. Voltaire defends the US government at both the trial and appellate level, and handles a variety of cases, ranging from defending constitutional challenges to federal statutes to presenting the United States' views in cases against foreign governments and diplomats.

 Harold J. Pierre

harold-PierreJoseph Harold Pierre is an economic and finance investigator at the Ministry of Finance of the Dominican Republic, Professor of Economics and Politics at the Universidad Iberoamericana (Unibe), and was a professor of Italian and Mathematics for Economist at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra Mistress (PUCMM by its initials in Spanish, pronounced PUCAMAyMA) in Santo Domingo. He is also a contributor to the Spanish review "Revista Existencial".

His writings are published in newspapers and reviews in Haiti, Dominican Republic and Spain. As social worker, he helps Haitians in the Dominican Republic, students in writing their mémoires among other things, and workers by training sessions (Human rights, organizations and associations, conflict resolution, etc.).

For his education, Joseph Harold Pierre holds a BA and a MA in Economics from the PUCMM. He also has a BA in Philosophy and Social Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC), and a Master in Political Science at the University of Barcelona (Spain).
